A few of the lyrics translations linked here are courtesy of holeinmyheart. Please also check out these other recommendation pages from koinuko, burypink, feargarden, and magnapina: One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six.
A short KAFU song with a cool beat. English lyrics over here. My song queue has run dry, and there are already 116 songs on this page, so I've decided that this is the end of Singing Synthesizers Daily. Any cool songs I discover later and wish to recommend I will post over here. Thank you for listening everyone! If anyone has listened to all the songs here, you are amazing!
A very nice and chill song. The title of the song, shoushimin (小市民), means either "petite bourgeoisie" or "lower middle class". This is a cover of a song by Tatsuo Kamon (with Hisahiro Ogura collaborating) that was released in 1988. This page has the lyrics in English.
Una covers the opening song for the anime Bunny Girl Senpai, made by The Peggies. It's only the short 90-second version, but it's still really cute to hear!
I am a huge fan of the Kotonoha Sisters. Their voices are so soft and warm. I bought the recent release of their English version, mostly just to play around with. Currently, the English Kotonoha Sisters are watered-down feature-wise compared to their Japanese equivalent and can only do very basic text-to-speech, but that didn't stop this creator from creating a song with them by using an external voice tuner called VocalShifter. This is a cover of a song by moumoon. I think Akane's voice fits this song quite well. Kotonoha Aoi is doing the backup vocals.
An unusual song and accompanying MV. It's being sung by Kaai Yuki. The character in the MV does resemble Yuki a little bit, but it's actually an original character. This page has the lyrics in English. Also check out this amazing Minecraft note block version of this song.
A cover of a Miku song by daniwellP. A version of that song was later made that used the UTAU character Momone Momo to sing it and had a pop-tart cat on it. You probably know that as the Nyan Cat song. Now Kiritan is singing it! No English lyrics because this song can only be understood by a neko.
I love this song a lot! Here I'm linking to the Eight Mix version instead of the original, which sounds weird and the MV looks kinda bad. The Eight Mix version is the one that is used in this song's Project Diva MV and in Miku concerts. I also really like the associated Honey Whip costume that Miku wears in the Project Diva MV and during Miku concerts when this song plays. This page has the song's lyrics in English.
A song about Teto getting locked out of an ATM, her iPhone, her hotel room, and her Twitter account. I got the official English title from the Niconico upload, but you can also see it in the thumbnail. This song seems to be intentionally using the L & R pronunciation ambiguity of Japanese, so when Teto is saying "Rock 'n' Roll" she's actually saying "Lock 'n' Roll". Pretty neat. Here are the lyrics in English.
Attention all Fortnite gamers! Hatsune Miku is in great danger and she needs your help to wipe out the squads in the Tilted Towers. To do this, she needs a golden SCAR and a couple of chug jugs. To help her, all she needs is your credit card number, the three digits on the back, and the expiration month and year. But, ya gotta be quick, so that Hatsune Miku can secure the bag and achieve the epic victory ROYAL!
Wanna get Rick-rolled by Miku-chan? Here's an incredibly cute cover of Rick Astley's famous meme song! What I find incredible about this high quality cover is that Miku is singing in English using Vocaloid 2. Official support for Miku singing in English didn't happen until Miku was upgraded to Vocaloid 3, so this means that this cover had to be transliterated & tuned with just Japanese to sound like it does (as far as I know). Very awesome IMO.
Another awesome song I discovered from a Miku Monday thread on /a/ many years ago. Here's the original Niconico upload from 2013, because a lot of YouTube reuploads and the official YouTube upload got purged for some reason. I almost lost/forgot this song because of those. No English lyrics.
Kiritan, Zunko, and Itako cover a song by SOUL'd OUT. No English lyrics. Though you don't really need them since like half the words are in English haha.
A very cute-sounding cover of a song by Ulfuls, a rock band from Osaka. It's really cool how Michuru put the Voiceroid software playing Akane's singing in the background of the video. This page has the lyrics in English.
A sad song. This isn't the original version of this song, this is actually a Miku Dark Append cover of the original Miku song by Tamaazu-P. The video did have "subtitles" in the YouTube annotations, but since YouTube annotations are kill, here's a page with the lyrics in English.
The English title is "Look This Way, Baby". This song is the opening song for Project Diva 2nd, but it later appeared in other Project Diva games as well as tons of Miku concerts. This page has the lyrics in English. I really like this song and the Natural Miku costume, which is why the background of this page is from this video. I also own a Natural Miku figure, here is a pic.
This song is interesting if you understand the context. KAFU is a vocalsynth whose voice provider is a singer with a virtual persona called KAF. In the video KAF is on the left and KAFU is on the right. The "doppelganger" refers to their similarity and shared voice. KAFU's lyrics are being directed towards KAF. This page has the lyrics in English.
The full English title is "Delusion Sensation Compensation Federation." This page has the lyrics in English. There's also an official Mandarin version (yes, that's Miku singing in Chinese) 🤔
Tettete~ Four grade-schoolers sing a super energetic song! This is the short version of this song. There's a long version too, but I prefer this one more. I listed the characters in the order they appear in the thumbnail. This page has the lyrics in English.
The most ambitious crossover event in history! I listed the characters in the order they appear in the thumbnail. This page has the lyrics in English. The "lines" in the lyrics refer to palm reading.
A "I'm not like the other girls" kinda song. The video has English subtitles. I also really like this Russian cover of this song which has Saya Scarlet and 3 others singing.
This music video is packed with references to anime, otaku culture, and other vocaloid songs. The comments have them all written out. Can you figure out all the references by yourself? The video has English subs.
Awesome song! There's a music video for this song that came on a bonus DVD for a limited edition version of the album Last Dance Refrain. I find it funny that this amateurish MMD music video is the only other place that the Miku model from the Kimagure Mercy MV appears. No English lyrics btw.
This is a cover of a Hatsune Miku song made by Hifumi (not me haha). I think the singing sounds way better here than in the original. This page has the lyrics in English.
Sad asf song. The video has English subs. This is the original version by Kairiki Bear, but there's also a newer official rearranged version done by MARETU.
John Denver's excellent song, but in Japanese. The Japanese version of country roads comes from the animated film Whisper of the Heart. I found this cover through a 2009 reupload of the original niconico video, but here I'm linking to a newer HD version that the original creator uploaded in 2019.
Hajimete no chuu~ Hatsune Miku was first released August 31st, 2007. And this song was uploaded September 20th, 2007 on Niconico. This is a cover of a song from an old school anime called Kiteretsu Daihyakka. This page has the lyrics in English.
According to the description, nejishiki dedicated this song to their father who didn't have a lot of time left to live due to cancer. The video has English subs.
A song about Yukari bothering LamazeP until he makes a song for her. I'm linking to the original Japanese upload, but here is an upload with English subs.
Kotonoha Akane & Aoi sing a cover of a song by ORANGE RANGE. It's really funny to hear such an energetic song in their super soft voices. This page has the lyrics in English.
A song about a genocidal angel?? Here are the lyrics in English. The angel maid character is called Bob-chan. She's a random original character from an artist named Ichiki.
A song about a kitsune who falls in love with a boy. Very cute and very underrated IMO. If you know what Yukari's voice sounds like you may think it's not Yukari singing, but her voice has just been pitched up. I downloaded the song and lowered the pitch in Audacity, and I can confirm that it is definitely Yukari singing! This page has the lyrics in English.
Amazing music video. In case you're wondering why the 3D animation looks the way it does, it's because it has parts that are running on 2s (12fps) or on 3s (8fps). These are common frame rates in most anime, because it's super expensive to hand-draw 2D animation at a full 24fps. Funny, there are parts in the video where Miku and the animated background are moving at different frame rates if you play it frame-by-frame. This page has the lyrics in English.
Eminem's been real quiet since this dropped lol. This is a cover of a song made by SOUL'd OUT. This page has the lyrics in English. The "Akari flower" on top of Akane's head is a fan-made diminutive form of Kizuna Akari called "grass Akari" (see: あかり草).
This song is one of my top faves. The video has English subs. I also really like this MMD music video of this song, as well as this Kizuna AI cover. Please check them out.
Yukari "eliminates" her entire classroom by tattling everyone away. The video has English subtitles. I also really like this Russian cover of this song by Onsa Media.
In case you were wondering where the dancing Miku at the bottom of this page comes from, this is the music video where it originated. I'm linking to the original Japanese upload, but this video has the lyrics in English.
I didn't make this song, the musician just happens to called Hifumi. I'm kind of surprised that this song doesn't have millions of views, because the quality of the music video is amazing. This page has the lyrics in English and also explains the double meaning of "dokudoku." Vocals are from Otomachi Una.
This is a demo song for KAFU, a voicebank for CeVIO AI. Interestingly, KAFU's voice provider is a virtual singer/virtual youtuber named KAF. The song is being sung by a neural net. This page has the lyrics in English.
A song about rabbits and carrots! The video has subtitles in English... and 9 other languages, bruh. Also, please check out this Minecraft note block cover of this song.
This is a cover of a popular Hatsune Miku song that's been covered by 1000s of other people including Shirakami Fubuki. However, it should be noted that this cover is being sung by a fuckin' neural network. The 6 white cylinder things on the table are kiritanpo, the person who stands over Kiritan is her oldest sister Tohoku Itako, and the person giving Kiritan zunda mochi is her older sister Tohoku Zunko. When Kiritan is playing with her Switch, Yukari & Akari appear, this is 100% a reference to the song below this one. This page has an English translation of the lyrics.
This is basically GYARI's love letter to virtual youtubers. Tohoku Kiritan, Yuzuki Yukari, and Kizuna Akari are reimagined as Vtubers and have a fierce rivalry. The text message that Kiritan gets at the end of the video comes from her older sister, Tohoku Zunko. I'm linking to the original Japanese upload, but here's an upload with English subs.
Hatsune Miku sings a bittersweet song. The video has English subs, but they're a little bit off, this page has a more understandable translation. The art is by skyw315 who is one of my favourite artists.
The title tells it all haha. I'm linking to the original Japanese upload, here is a different upload that has English subtitles. This song also features 3 other Voiceroid characters: Yukari, Maki, and Kiritan. When Yukari is talking about that cool game that she's playing, she is 100% referring to PUBG. All the frying pans that she stuck to herself give it away. This is a reference to the very many popular PUBG Voiceroid Let's Play videos on YouTube and NicoNico that featured Yukari. Here is an example of one.
Kotonoha Akane & Aoi and Tohoku Kiritan sing an awesome Daft Punk song! It was fun for me to find out that Voiceroid, a speech synthesis program, is actually capable of singing synthesis with a mod called Kotonosync.
